Parent Guidelines - Is your FAMILY ready for comp?

...making the decision to move into Corinthians FC

The CAA Comp Program does not just require more of a commitment from players. It requires a commitment from the player’s family as well. There is more time and money required at the competitive level, and families should be aware of the program expectations before signing up their player.

The following guidelines are intended to help parents decide if their family is ready to commit to having a member in the Comp Program:

  • Parents are committed to upholding the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Code of Conduct.

  • Parents have reviewed the Player Guidelines, and find them acceptable.

  • Parents understand that the “equal play” policy that is in place for the CAA Rec league does not apply for the Comp Program.

    • Playing time is determined by the coach.

    • Playing time is not a topic of discussion or negotiation.

    • Parents may discuss with the coach areas in which their player can improve.

  • Parents recognize that Comp Programs are more expensive than Rec.

    • Parents should budget in the extra costs and take care of expenses in a timely manner. (More details about Comp costs are available under Registration & Pricing Info → Youth Competitive Program.)

  • Parents understand that running a comp or select team is more complex than a recreational team.

    • It is CAA’s expectation is that everybody will volunteer to do something...No "Riders of the Pine”.

  • Parents are expected to participate in fundraisers, or will agree to pay a $100 buy out fee.
