Frequently Answered Questions

Question: When does the season begin and end?
Answer: Our fall season begins with tryouts and training in early July with the season concluding at the beginning of December. Our Spring season begins with tryouts and training beginning in late January to the end of the season Mid-march. We also have off-seasons where we play futsal (indoor soccer).

Question: How do tryouts work?
Answer: Tryouts will be held preseason at an assigned date simultaneous with registration. Former players who have played in the past 2 seasons do not need to attend but are welcome to come to enjoy friendly training and competition.

Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: We try to keep costs as low as possible.  $800 (subject to change) for the season includes two practices a week,  A game a week along with one weekend tournament.  The uniform kit costs around $150 and generally lasts two seasons (e.g. Fall & Spring) but may not, if purchased off-cycle.

Question: Do you play on Sundays?
Answer: We play most games on Saturdays but on occasion, we are scheduled to play on Sunday. If Sundays, we seek to play afternoon so that our club members are able to attend their local church. Very rarely do we play on a Sunday morning, though some tournaments require us to play at that time.

Question: What teams do you have?
Answer: We currently have two boys comp teams, '07 boys (Silver for Spring 2019) and '08 boys (Bronze).  We also have a rec league see www.playcaa.org for more info.

Question: Where do you train?
Our home field at 5151 Carter Ave. San Jose, CA is also where we train.  This field hosts all of our 9v9 games.  Starting the fall of 2019, our U12 team which will play 11v11, will play at various locations.  In the past, our older teams have played at Valley Christian HS, Los Gatos HS, and the Jewish Community Center in Los Gatos.

Question: What about Futsal?
The last few years, we've entered teams into the Futsal San Jose league.  The roster size is capped at ten players per team so space is limited.  The format is 5v5 with goalies and is played on indoor basketball gyms in and around San Jose.  This gives the players a chance to have some fun and keep their skills fresh between the Fall and Spring seasons.  It is really fun and the focus is not as much on the competition.  More info can be found here: https://www.futsalsj.org/
